Beautiful Cameron Diaz stole the show at the Kennedy Center Awards as she showed up in an elegant strapless white gown that left admirers trailing in its wake.
The 35 year-old actress went up on stage to honor director Martin Scorsese, who received an award, along with 4 other entertainers, for his contribution to American culture.
“Martin made his dreams come true, and he has made dreams come true for all of us who came before his camera,” said Cameron, who worked on 2002’s Gangs of New York with Scorsese.
Scorsese was presented his award by long-time collaborator Robert De Niro, who joked that he was smart enough to get on more commercial (albeit disastrous) projects, “You still have the same passion, drive and intensity you had when we were starting out together. And as for me, well, I’m doing comedy. But don’t worry, Marty — I still have enough misery in me for us to do a few more pictures together.”
The other 4 award recipients were Brian Wilson, Diana Ross, Steve Martin and Leon Fleisher.
